Ukraine Targets Oil Refinery In Russia Ukraine War: The ongoing fierce war between Russia and Ukraine has now reached a new and extremely dangerous turn. Recently, the Ukrainian army has targeted a big oil plant deep inside the Russian border with its precise drone attack. After this shocking attack, a massive fire broke out in the entire Russian oil installation and an atmosphere of great chaos was created all around.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky himself has come forward and taken full responsibility for this large and long-range drone attack. This particular oil facility is located near the Ural Mountain Range in Russia’s Perm region, about 1,500 kilometers or more than 900 miles from Ukraine. This big and precise attack has raised serious questions on Russia’s security system and war strategy.

Russian Governor’s statement

The governor of the Perm region, Dmitry Makhonin, confirmed that a Ukrainian drone had carried out a direct attack on a local industrial complex. Due to this powerful drone attack, a fire immediately broke out there, emergency services were sent to the spot to extinguish it. This attack proves that Ukraine’s indigenous drones are now quite accurate and capable of striking at very long ranges.

Zelensky’s new strategy

President Zelensky released a video message saying that Ukraine is now rapidly expanding the scope of its long-range attacks. Their main goal is to reduce Russia’s war fighting ability and completely deprive it of vital oil revenues. He clearly said that this distance of 1,500 kilometers is just a beginning and they will continue to push these limits further.

Attacks are happening continuously

This is not the first attack by Ukraine on oil refineries located inside Russia, but now these attacks are increasing continuously. The latest attack comes just a day after the third attack in less than two weeks on the Tuapse oil refinery on the Black Sea. Apart from this, the Russian Defense Ministry has also informed that their air defense system has shot down 98 Ukrainian drones overnight.

Ukraine’s strong counterattack

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Air Force has also given a strong response to the Russian attacks and has made a big claim of its successful defense. According to Ukraine’s official statement, it has shot down 154 in the air out of a total of 171 drones fired by Russia overnight. Now advanced drone technology has become a very decisive and important factor in this long war between the two countries.
