America is angry at friendly country India over the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. America's President Donald Trump's top official has reacted to the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pezeshkian. He said that America does not think that India and Iran are making any deal. He said that no country should help them in creating such ways by which they can earn money and then use that money to promote terrorism and try to make nuclear weapons.
America may impose sanctions
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that America can also impose sanctions on countries that help in making such methods. The US Secretary of State said that if other countries decide to do so, then we will have to impose sanctions on them too. In a way, he has threatened that if India also makes a deal with Iran, America will not hesitate to impose sanctions. It is being told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the 26th SCO Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, America is said to be angry with this.
Refused trade deal between India and Iran
On this, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio believes that India and Iran are not currently negotiating any trade deal. He said this when he was asked about the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Masoud Pezheshkian during the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. On the Brian Kilmeade show, Rubio was asked about the meeting between PM Modi and Pezeshkian and also whether India and Iran are working on a trade agreement.
On this, Rubio said that he does not think that any trade deal is happening between India and Iran. He said that countries make their own foreign policies and many countries remain in touch with the Iranian government.
Countries should avoid helping Iran financially
Rubio said that obviously every country makes its own foreign policy and many countries around the world talk to the Iranian government. He further said that countries should not help Iran evade US sanctions or create avenues that could generate revenue for Tehran. Rubio said that I think the real thing is – and President Donald Trump has said this very clearly – is that no country should help Iran avoid sanctions.
