Ranchi. Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren amid the ongoing student movement against alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations in Jharkhand. Rahul Gandhi has appealed to the Chief Minister to seriously consider the demands of the agitating students and meet them personally to resolve their remaining concerns.

Rahul Gandhi said that the voice of the youth should be heard and in the current circumstances the government should take effective steps to solve the problems of the students.

'Peaceful protest is an important pillar of democracy'-
In a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Rahul Gandhi said that the right to peaceful protest is given by the Constitution and is one of the major pillars of democracy. He claimed that the students who have been protesting against paper leaks and alleged irregularities in the education system for the last few months have received the support of Congress.

Rahul Gandhi also targeted RSS and BJP regarding the education system. He alleged that due to the occupation of the education system, it is becoming a medium for exploitation and oppression of students.

'The demands of the students are legitimate'-
Rahul Gandhi said that students of Jharkhand are protesting peacefully against alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations and their demands are justified. He also appreciated the formation of a committee by the government to talk to the students and the talks held so far.

He said that many demands of the students have been agreed to through the committee, but despite this the movement has not ended. Some students are still on indefinite hunger strike.

Rahul Gandhi's special appeal to CM Hemant-
Rahul Gandhi urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to personally meet the representatives of the agitating students. According to him, the personal interaction of the Chief Minister can help in addressing the remaining concerns of the students and strengthening the commitment of the government.

The movement has been going on for more than 20 days-
The students' agitation in Ranchi has been going on for more than 20 days. On August 16, the protesting students also burnt the effigies of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. After this, the Jharkhand government has invited the students for talks again.

Several rounds of talks have already taken place between the government and students, but no concrete solution has emerged so far. In such a situation, the meeting to be held on 17th August is being considered very important from the point of view of the movement.

The meeting will be held today at 2 pm-
The government has called the protesting students for talks on August 17 at 2 pm. Students have been informed about the proposal of the meeting by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and ADM, Law and Order.

Now everyone's eyes are on the outcome of this meeting between the government and the agitating students. What solution emerges in the meeting can decide the direction of Jharkhand's student movement in the coming days.
