Amit Shah’s call to remove CM Mamata before Bengal elections, Abhishek Banerjee furious – this is an insult to a woman
The political atmosphere has become quite heated amid the assembly elections in West Bengal. Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a road show in support of BJP candidate Rupa Ganguly in Sonarpur South assembly constituency of South 24 Parganas. During this, he targeted the Chief Minister of the state Mamata Banerjee and said that now the time has come to remove her from power.
Amit Shah alleged that “Gunda Raj” and “Syndicate Raj” are going on in Bengal and it will end once BJP comes to power. He also said that the party has come up with a clear roadmap for the development of Kolkata and surrounding areas.
At the same time, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee accused Amit Shah of insulting Mamata Banerjee. He said that the way Shah addressed him as “Aye Didi” shows the BJP’s thinking towards women. Abhishek Banerjee claimed that like last time, this time too BJP will suffer a big loss and the party will not be able to cross the mark of 50 seats.
Elections for 294 seats in West Bengal are being held on April 23 and 29, while the counting of votes will take place on May 4. In such a situation, both the major parties BJP and Trinamool Congress are making the atmosphere more heated by making sharp allegations and counter-allegations against each other. This election is not just a fight for power, but is becoming a big test of political narrative and public opinion.
Amidst the West Bengal Assembly elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a grand road show in support of Trinamool Congress candidates in Howrah. In this road show, Mamata Banerjee covered a distance of about two kilometers from Carry Road to Shankar Math. This area is very close to the administrative headquarters of the state ‘Nabanna’, which further increases the political importance of this event.
A large number of people were seen standing on both sides of the road carrying Trinamool flags and banners, while many welcomed him by showering flowers from the rooftops and balconies of houses. During this time, Trinamool candidate and MP Prasun Banerjee was also present with him. This road show is considered important from the point of view of the election programme, because the second phase of voting on Howrah seat is to be held on April 29. Elections for 294 seats in the state are being held in two phases (April 23 and 29), while counting of votes will take place on May 4.
While on one hand a sharp political contest is going on between BJP and Trinamool in Bengal, on the other hand through such road shows both the parties are trying to show their strength and influence the voters.
