Amit Shah’s sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi: Count the states where Congress could not make any ‘CM’ for decades.
Kolkata. During the important meeting of the BJP legislature party in West Bengal on Friday, a consensus was reached on the name of Subhendu Adhikari as the new Chief Minister of the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was present in this meeting as a central observer.
During the meeting, Amit Shah fiercely attacked Congress and opposition leader in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. He said that Congress is continuously losing the elections and now to hide the reason of defeat, it is busy in defaming the election process itself.
Serious allegations against Congress-
Amit Shah alleged that Rahul Gandhi and Congress are trying to confuse the public by sometimes raising issues like EVM, sometimes voter list, sometimes SIR and sometimes “vote theft”. He said that Congress is blaming others for its defeat.
“Congress out of power in many states for decades”-
The Home Minister said that if Congress’s argument is considered correct, then their not forming governments in many states for decades will also be considered as “vote theft”. Giving examples of states like Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Gujarat, Odisha, Nagaland and Maharashtra, he said that Congress has been out of power there for a long time.
Shah taunted, “If all this is vote theft then those who steal votes are sitting with you and are part of the Indi alliance.”
Direct attack on Rahul Gandhi-
Amit Shah said that Congress needs to introspect on its defeat, but instead it is raising questions on electoral institutions. He claimed that the rift between Congress and its allies is increasing under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
Praise of Shubhendu Adhikari-
During this, Amit Shah also praised Shubhendu Adhikari. He said that the public has expressed confidence in BJP and this mandate is historic. Referring to the election results of Bhawanipur and Nandigram, Shah said that the public has given a clear message.
He said that under the leadership of Subhendu Adhikari, BJP is moving towards a new political direction in Bengal.
