Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan’s highly-anticipated project finally gets a promising update.

Back in 2021, fans were left excited as they heard that the two co-stars are all set for another on-screen collaboration after the success of their classic film, Piku.

The reports claimed that Bachchan and Padukone will be sharing screen in the Hindi remake of a Hollywood film The Intern featuring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.

Following the announcement of the film, Deepika decided to step away from acting to focus more on production.

Now that she is finally back in the acting game, the fresh reports have unveiled that The Intern remake is finally ready to go on floors.

Director Amit Sharma, while spilling beans about the highly anticipated project, said that his film will be different from the original one.

“My take on The Intern won’t be an exact replica of the original. What is the point of remaking a film if you can’t take it in a different direction? So yes, my version of the story will be different,” he said.

Originally, the remake was supposed to cast Rishi Kapoor in place of Amitabh. But after the former tragic passing, Big B was cast in the key role.
