Amitabh Bachchan on Career: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is one of the biggest and respected stars of Hindi cinema today. In his career spanning several decades, he has played many memorable characters and has made a special place in the hearts of millions of people on the basis of his acting. However, it was not at all easy for Amitabh Bachchan, who is today called the 'great hero' of the industry, to make his mark in Bollywood. In the initial phase of his career, he also had to face many problems and rejections.

Amitabh Bachchan often shares stories related to his old days and initial time spent in the film industry with fans. Now on the stage of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 18' (KBC 18), he has narrated such an incident related to his struggling days, which everyone was surprised to know. During this, he spoke openly about the producers' thinking regarding his looks and personality. He also told why he had kept his hair long.

Amitabh Bachchan told why he had grown long hair?

In the recent episode of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 18', a contestant named Humil mentioned Amitabh Bachchan's signature hairstyle and long sideburns. This look of Amitabh became an important part of his identity especially in the 1970s. Long hair and sideburns reaching up to the temples made his look completely different in that period. After listening to the contestant, Amitabh Bachchan remembered his early career and told that there was not just style or fashion behind his hairstyle but there was a special reason behind it.

Will not work with any heroine

Amitabh Bachchan told that when he was a newcomer to films, the producers used to say two big things about his looks. The first problem was his height and the second was about the shape of his face. Big B said, “Initially, when we came into films, in order to get work, the producers used to tell us about two things: our height is tall, so no heroine will work for us and secondly, our face is very small.” Amitabh further told that he had to adopt a method to make his face look a little fuller. He said that for this reason he started growing his hair and kept it till his temples, so that his face looked fuller.

The same look became the identity of Amitabh Bachchan

In the 70s, Amitabh Bachchan's tall height, strong voice, long hairstyle and screen presence gradually became his special identity. After this, films like 'Zanjeer', 'Deewar', 'Sholay', 'Don', 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar' and 'Amar Akbar Anthony' took him to the heights of stardom, where it is every artist's dream to reach.

Amitabh apologized to Madhuri Dixit

In this promo of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 18', Amitabh Bachchan was seen narrating another funny story. During this, he also apologized to veteran Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit for one of his old 'insolence'. Actually, during the conversation, Madhuri's famous song 'Ek Do Teen' was mentioned. This song is from the film 'Tezaab' released in 1988 and is counted among the most iconic songs of Madhuri Dixit's career. This song made him popular across the country overnight.

Amitabh Bachchan jokingly told that in a film he had tried to do the steps of Madhuri's same song. He said, “Once we were very presumptuous. There was a film in which we did Ek Do Teen like this.” After this Madhuri Dixit asked Amitabh to show that dance. Then a scene from Amitabh Bachchan's film 'Toofan' released in 1989 was shown on the screen, in which he was seen dancing on the song 'Ek Do Teen'.

Big B himself felt embarrassed after seeing his dance

After watching his old dance on screen, Amitabh Bachchan himself was seen feeling embarrassed in a very funny manner. He told Madhuri that he had just seen how such a beautiful song could be 'ruined'.
