Anant Singh, MLA from Mokama, Bihar, has given a big statement after not getting entry into Varanasi. He said that next time he comes to Kashi, no one will be able to stop him. Anant Singh said this in Prayagraj on Saturday. He had come to attend a wedding ceremony organized by his old friend's family. During this, while talking to BHU student leader Dr. Saurav Rai, he mentioned about stopping the convoy in Varanasi. The MLA said that this time he could not come to Kashi, but will definitely come next time if called.

Actually, Anant Singh had left for Prayagraj from Patna on Friday. There was a large convoy of vehicles with him. Supporters also joined his convoy at different places on the way. Due to this the number of vehicles increased significantly. When his convoy reached Varanasi, the police administration did not allow him to enter the city. Due to the festival of Dhanteras at that time, there was a lot of crowd in the markets and major roads of the city. The police feared that the entry of such a large convoy might affect the traffic system.

Anant Singh was scheduled to reach Singhdwar of BHU. There, preparations were made to garland the statue of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. Supporters were also present to welcome him. But Varanasi police stopped the convoy near Dafi area. The administration had given them the option to proceed with limited vehicles. Citing traffic and security arrangements, police officials explained that taking the entire convoy inside the city could create a traffic jam.

However, Anant Singh was not ready to leave the entire convoy and go with a few vehicles. After this he canceled the entry program in Varanasi and left for Prayagraj. Due to this, the program of his welcome and wreath laying could not be held at BHU Singhdwar. The supporters waiting there had to return disappointed.

After reaching Prayagraj, Anant Singh gave his reaction on this incident. He said, “Could not come this time. Next time we will come, we will come when called. Now no one will be able to stop us.” His statement is being seen as his displeasure over the administration's decision to stop the convoy in Varanasi. However, he did not give any specific date or program for his next visit to Kashi.

Anant Singh had reached Prayagraj to attend the wedding ceremony organized in the family of his old friend Pappu Salman. During this time he also met BHU student leader Dr. Saurav Rai. It was told that on the way, he met BJP MLA Sushil Singh in Chandauli and also invited him for the wedding of his younger daughter Shivangi to be held on November 25.

The main reason given by the Varanasi Police for stopping the convoy was to maintain traffic order during the festival. According to police officials, the city was already crowded and the arrival of a large convoy could have created a traffic jam. The administration had talked about allowing limited vehicles to come, but Anant Singh wanted to proceed with the entire convoy.

Anant Singh's statement is in discussion after this incident. On one hand, Varanasi Police, keeping in mind the traffic situation, refused to allow a large convoy to enter the city, while the MLA has said that next time he comes to Kashi, no one will be able to stop him.
