Birthdays brought back memories of loved ones for Aneet Padda as she marked her 24th birthday with friends and family. The actress also shared pictures from the celebrations, including moments with her Saiyaara co-star Ahaan Panday and actor Alia Bhatt.
Aneet posted the pictures on Instagram along with a lengthy note about the people she missed and those who had made her birthday special.
In her message, the actress spoke about how birthdays reminded her of past moments, missed calls and things she wished she had said to people. She also remembered her late grandfather, whom she called ‘Dadu’, and her pet Julie.
She wrote, “I think of all the birthdays I’ll now spend without Dadu, how strange that life goes on without him. I miss Julie too, her snoring at night of all things. Things I never thought I’d miss.”
Aneet also thanked her parents, sister and childhood friend for being part of her celebrations. She mentioned that her friends had made the occasion special and expressed gratitude for the love she received.
The actress further shared that she sometimes became so caught up in missing the past that she forgot to appreciate the people around her.
“Sometimes I spend so much time missing what was that I forget to look around and see how much there still is,” she wrote.
She also shared her birthday wish for the people who had supported her, saying she wanted them to be happy.
“This year I wished for all of you to be happy. I hope you are, I hope you’re all so, so happy,” Aneet added.
Aneet and Ahaan Panday had shared the screen in Saiyaara, which brought them together as co-stars. The birthday pictures also featured Alia Bhatt among the guests.
The actress turned 24 on November 4 and shared the birthday post after her celebrations.
