Faridabad. A woman, angry over scratches on her mobile phone screen, has been accused of beating her two young children. CCTV footage of this incident, which is being reported from Nagla Part-2 area of Faridabad, has surfaced. The children's father Satbir is posted as a hero in the army and is currently on duty in Rajasthan. He has accused his wife of assaulting the children in the past also. In this matter, the children's grandfather Bishan Singh has filed a complaint at the police post demanding action.
It was told that on September 27, at around seven o'clock in the evening, the six-year-old daughter was using her mobile phone. Meanwhile his mother noticed scratches on the phone screen. It is alleged that the woman got angry and started slapping the girl. CCTV footage shows the girl being slapped eight times in about 12 seconds. After this, the four year old son was also beaten. According to the available footage, hearing the screams of the two children, a neighbor youth reached the house and asked the woman not to hit the children.
CCTV cameras were installed three months ago
The children's father Satbir says that because he is in the army, he stays out of the house for a long time. According to him, there had been incidents of assault on children earlier also. For this reason, CCTV cameras were installed in the house about three months ago. On the day of the incident, his parents had gone to their second house in Nuh and the woman and both children were present in the house.
Satbir has also accused his wife's maternal family of threatening him. He says that if children protest against assault, they have been threatened with being implicated in false cases. These allegations have not yet been independently confirmed.
Police started investigation
In this matter, the children's grandfather Bishan Singh has given a complaint at Pavartiya Colony outpost. According to outpost in-charge Mahesh, information about the case is being collected after receiving the complaint. Police will take further action on the basis of CCTV footage, complaint and statements of both the parties. The father of the children has demanded investigation into the matter and ensuring the safety of the children.
