Another big blow to Mamata Banerjee, TMC MP Koel Mallik resigns from Rajya Sabha

New Delhi. Mamata Banerjee has suffered another major setback in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress MP Koel Mallik has resigned from the membership of Rajya Sabha. Earlier, party leader Madan Mitra had also left Mamata Banerjee. Koyal Mallik’s real name is Rukmini Mallik. She is a famous Bengali actress. She is mainly known as “Tolly-Queen” of Tollywood.

Trinamool Congress MP has written a letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan submitting her resignation. He wrote in the letter that please accept it. He has thanked all the officers and members of Rajya Sabha.

On April 6, Koyal Mallik took oath as Rajya Sabha MP. Now he has resigned from Rajya Sabha on 16 July. The reason for Koel Mallik’s resignation has not been revealed, nor has he mentioned this reason in the letter sent to the Chairman of Rajya Sabha. With the resignation of Koel Mallik, the number of TMC MPs resigning from Rajya Sabha has increased to 4.

Earlier, those who left Mamata Banerjee include Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, Sushmita Dev and Prakash Chik Baraik, who had resigned from Rajya Sabha. Now Koel Mallick’s name has also been added to this list.
