Anti-Hindu forces will be defeated, Shubhendu Adhikari sounds bugle for Bengal elections 2026 – ..
News India Live, Digital Desk: The battle cry of West Bengal Assembly Election 2026 has been heard and the political temperature is at its peak. Veteran BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari has once again played the ‘Sanatan’ card by opening a front against Mamata Banerjee. Before filing his nomination from Nandigram, Shubhendu, while addressing a public meeting, made an emotional appeal to all the Sanatanis of Bengal to unite. He clearly said that this election is not just about power, but about protecting culture and religion.
“Sanatan opponents will be eliminated”
In his address, Shubhendu Adhikari made a sharp attack on Trinamool Congress and said that the kind of politics that is being done in the state for the last few years is against Sanatan Dharma and Hindu beliefs. He alleged that the demography and identity of Bengal is in danger due to appeasement politics. Shubhendu roared from the stage and said, “The crushing defeat of anti-Hindu and anti-Sanatan forces is certain in the coming elections. The people of Bengal have now woken up and will elect BJP for development as well as to protect their culture.”
Announcement to contest elections from Nandigram and Bhawanipur
This time Shubhendu Adhikari has made his strategy even more aggressive in the Bengal elections. He has announced that along with Nandigram, he will also contest from Bhawanipur, considered the stronghold of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. During the nomination, big leaders like Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Dilip Ghosh were present with him. Shubhendu claims that this time BJP will form a government with full majority by winning more than 177 seats in the state and Mamata Banerjee will be defeated on her own seat.
Took blessings by touching the feet of Yogi Adityanath
Recently, during an election rally, Shubhendu Adhikari’s respect for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also remained a topic of discussion. He touched the feet of Yogi Adityanath on the stage and took blessings, which is being seen as a message of ‘Sanatan Ekta’. Shubhendu said that Bengal now needs a ‘double engine’ government so that corruption and appeasement can end here.
Voting will be held in two phases, results on May 4
Elections for the 294-member Bengal Assembly have been scheduled in two phases. The first phase of voting will be held on 23 April and the second phase on 29 April 2026, while the election results will be declared on 4 May. This ‘Sanatan’ call by Shubhendu Adhikari has given a new twist to the electoral equations of the state, due to which the contest between TMC and BJP is likely to become even more polarized.
