The actress, who has worked in popular films like ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘Padmavat’ and ‘War’, told that she was going to be a part of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer ‘War 2’, but later there was no space left for her character in the story. Due to this she could not be a part of the film.

Anupriya Goenka says that her exit from ‘War 2’ was not the result of any decision of hers. According to him, the need for his character was lost during the changes in the story of the film. The actress also told that now in her career she is giving priority to such projects in which her character has an important role in the story.

Could not make place for the character in ‘War 2’

Anupriya Goenka was earlier seen in the film ‘War’ released in 2019. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff were in the lead roles in this film. The film received good response from the audience and was also successful at the box office. However, when the sequel ‘War 2’ was planned, Anupriya was hopeful that she would remain a part of the franchise. But according to the actress, later there was such a change in the story of the film that there was no room for her character.

Talking about her experience, Anupriya said that she was supposed to be a part of ‘War 2’, but later some circumstances changed and her character’s role in the story was no longer there. He called it a project-related change rather than a personal decision.

Anupriya also shared her opinion regarding the roles of female actors in big budget films. She says that it is not easy for an actress to repeatedly get strong and impactful roles in big commercial projects, especially if she is not the central heroine of the film. According to her, female characters are still written in a limited scope in many big projects in the industry. He said that his roles in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘Padmavat’ and ‘War’ were good, but it is difficult to get a role of the same level in every big budget film.

Regarding her current career, the actress said that now she understands her character carefully before becoming a part of any film or series. She wants to do such roles which have a real impact on the story and without which the film’s story feels incomplete. For Anupriya, it is no longer enough to be a part of a big banner or big budget film. She wants to give priority to such projects where her character gets proper place and depth in the story.
