Railway Recruitment Board has issued short notification for recruitment to 11127 posts of Assistant Loco Pilot. The online application process will start from 15th May 2026 and will continue till 14th June. Candidates with 10th, ITI and engineering qualification will be able to apply.
New Delhi: A big recruitment has come out for the youth preparing for government jobs in Railways. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced to start the recruitment process for 11127 posts of Assistant Loco Pilot i.e. ALP. Online applications for recruitment will start from 15 May 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official website of Railway Recruitment Board till the scheduled date.
Application process will start from May 15
According to the short notification issued by the Railway Recruitment Board, the application process for RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 will start from May 15. Candidates will be able to fill the online form till 14 June 2026. The recruitment process will be conducted completely in online mode.
This recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot in Railways will be done in various railway zones across the country. Due to the large number of vacancies, enthusiasm is being seen among the youth regarding this recruitment.
Who can apply?
To apply for recruitment, the candidate must have passed 10th from a recognized board. Along with this, one should have ITI certificate in related trade. Apart from this, candidates with engineering diploma or engineering degree will also be eligible to apply.
Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 30 years. Reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
Application Fee and Selection Process
General and other category candidates have to deposit Rs 500 as application fee. Whereas for SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman, Transgender and EBC category candidates, the fee has been kept at Rs 250. Fees will be paid through online mode.
Candidates will be selected in several stages. First of all CBT-1 and CBT-2 exams will be conducted. After this CBAT, document verification and medical test will be conducted. Final merit list of successful candidates in all stages will be released.
Zone wise posts details
Railway Recruitment Board has also released the distribution of posts in various zones. Maximum vacancies have been released in South Eastern Railway, East Coast Railway and Central Railway.
- South Eastern Railway – 1531 पद
- East Coast Railway – 1625 पद
- Central Railway – 1400 पद
- Northeast Frontier Railway – 1276 पद
- Northern Railway – 740 पद
- East Central Railway – 700 पद
Apart from this, different numbers of posts have also been earmarked in other railway zones.
