April 29 Weather Update: Now the weather has taken a turn in the country and after the intense heat, suddenly rain, storm and clouds are being seen. According to India Meteorological Department, this change is due to pre-monsoon activities. This effect has become more intense in the last days of April, which has brought relief in many states.
Effect of El Nino and increased movement
According to the Meteorological Department, due to El Niño, the sea temperature has increased, due to which the weather has become unstable. This is the reason why on one hand the heat is increasing and on the other hand sudden rains and storms are also being seen. This situation may persist till the end of May.
Period of rain due to western disturbance
A new Western Disturbance is becoming active, the effect of which will be clearly visible in North India. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the Himalayan areas, while there may be rain with strong winds in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. This is expected to provide some relief from the heatwave.
Rain-storm alert for 5 days
Heavy rains and thunderstorms may occur in northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura for the next 5 days. Wind speed can reach 50-70 km/hour. At the same time, an alert of light to moderate rain has also been issued in South India – Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Hail may also occur in some areas.

Be careful of heat and humidity
While on one hand it is raining, on the other hand heat and humidity are still troubling in many states. Hot winds may continue in Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Odisha and Telangana till May 2. Heat will persist even at night, due to which people may face problems.
