Arjun Singh, Aditya Singh, Mihika Yadav and Snehal Patil won gold in Maharashtra Pickleball Open 2026.
Mumbai, Mumbai: Arjun Singh and Aditya Singh won the title of Pro Men’s Doubles category. He defeated Stavya Bhasin and Amol in three closely fought sets. At the same time, Mihika Yadav and Snehal Patil showed their dominance in the Pro Women’s Doubles category and won the final in a one-sided manner.
According to a press release, Maharashtra Pickleball Association (MPA), under the aegis of Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) and under the leadership of MPA President Rahul N Kanal, successfully organized the tournament. More than 1000 players participated in this three-day competition.
Speaking at the conclusion of the tournament, MPA President Rahul N Kanal said, “Congratulations to all the winners and participants of the Maharashtra Open 2026. Seeing the enthusiasm of the players ranging from 8 years to 60 years has further strengthened our belief in our vision for the future of pickleball in Maharashtra. This is just the beginning; our vision is to make Maharashtra an unmatched powerhouse of pickleball in India by working district by district.”
Suryaveer Singh Bhullar, President, Indian Pickleball Association said, “The Maharashtra Open has certainly been a tournament of a very high standard both on and off the court. The Indian Pickleball Association is very happy that the Maharashtra Pickleball Association has organized this tournament so well under the able leadership of Rahul N Kanal. IPA has seen this phenomenon in many states of the country, where the state associations are working together and as a united team under the Indian Pickleball Association. Earlier in the tournament, Arjun Singh and Naomi Amalsdiwala defeated Pearl Amalsdiwala and Stavya Bhasin in a thrilling three-set encounter to lift the Pro Mixed Doubles category title. This tournament is a historic moment for the IPA and the recently formed MPA. The MPA has added over 750 members in the first month of its formation, reflecting the growing popularity and culture of pickleball in the state.
Maharashtra Pickleball Association leads the field of pickleball in the country in terms of development of its organizational structure, number of players and number of tournaments organized for players in the same state. Under the leadership of Rahul Kanal, the MPA is expected to further contribute in increasing the number of active players in various districts of the state. It will also achieve the goal of making Maharashtra a major hub of Pickleball in India by introducing and establishing Pickleball in Tier-2 and Tier-3 districts.
