Trisha and Thalapathy Vijay’s meeting buzz: Hesitation seen in viral video, suspense remains on rumors

Chennai: The early trends of 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections suggest that a big political change is about to happen, hence celebrations are in full swing at Vijay’s house. Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), is currently leading, challenging the long-standing dominance of the DMK and AIADMK.

Amidst this high-voltage political moment, actress Trisha Krishnan was seen joining the celebrations at Vijay’s house. The timing of his arrival caught everyone’s attention, especially because it coincided with his 43rd birthday.

Earlier in the day, Trisha went to Tirupati temple, and later went to Vijay’s house, where pictures of them smiling and blushing inside their car quickly went viral online.

Although the election results are still being counted, if Vijay wins, it would be a historic moment, making him the first actor to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in almost five decades.

Rumors of Trisha and Thalapathy Vijay’s relationship

Trisha and Vijay have long been one of the most loved on-screen couples of Tamil cinema. Their chemistry first caught the audience’s attention in the 2004 blockbuster ‘Gilli’, followed by successful films like Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi. Their frequent appearances together not only cemented their popularity, but also fueled rumors of off-screen romance.

However, after 2008, the two stopped working together for almost 15 years. At that time, there were reports in the industry that the growing link-up speculations might have created pressure, which led to distance between the two. Despite the rumours, both Vijay and Trisha have consistently maintained that they are “just good friends”.

The pair reunited on screen with the 2023 film ‘Leo’, which once again fueled speculations about their relationship.

Vijay’s divorce dispute

Another thing in the ongoing discussion is about Vijay’s personal life. He was married to Sangeetha Sornalingam in 1999, and has two children. However, after more than two decades of marriage, Sangeeta filed for divorce, with the reason being said to be an extra marital affair.

What added fuel to the fire was that soon after the alleged separation, Vijay and Trisha were seen together at a high-profile wedding, which was their first public appearance in a long time.
