Arjun Tendulkar set to play for new team after IPL 2026. Details inside

Left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar hasn’t managed to get a single game for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2026. The 26-year-old has been warming the benches so far post his trade from the Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. There is some good news for the youngster, though, as he is set to turn out for a new team soon.

Sachin Tendulkar’s son will be playing for Andheri Arcs in the upcoming Mumbai T20 league. Andheri snapped up the youngster for INR 10 lakh and is set to make his league debut this season. It is to be noted that the decision came after the pacer was given the go-ahead despite playing domestic cricket for Goa in the last few seasons.

According to reports, the BCCI had given the all-clear for the player’s participation, as he hadn’t played in the local league. The 2025 campaign saw Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals take the title, beating SoBo Mumbai Falcons in the finals. Siddesh Lad’s side beat Shreyas Iyer’s Falcons by five wickets in a pulsating encounter.

What is Mumbai T20 league and when did it begin?

The Mumbai T20 league in 2018 was a bid to find local talent and give them more exposure. Shivam Dube’s Triumph Mumbai Knights won the title in 2018, followed by North Mumbai Panthers led by Prithvi Shaw the next season. The league was then put on hold for the next five years.

The upcoming tournament is the fourth season, with some of the biggest names set to take part. Arjun has played five games in the IPLall for MI, and has claimed just three wickets. With the bat, the youngster has scored 13 runs with a strike rate of 144.

Veteran Mumbai seamer becomes costliest player in the league

Sobo Mumbai Falcons picked 31-year-old Aakash Parkar for INR 12 lakh, making him the most expensive pick from the auction. The right-arm seamer has played 13 T20 games so far, grabbing eight wickets and also scoring 86 runs with the bat.

Musheer Khan will also play for the Andheri side after being roped in for INR 11 lakh. The young all-rounder is currently part of the Punjab Kings side and has yet to play in the current IPL 2026 campaign.
