Rasaili Ghat bridge incomplete for 12 years: Demand from DM to complete the construction soon
Purnia. The construction of the bridge which has been incomplete for the last 12 years at Rasai Ghat situated on the Parman River of Amour block in the district is still a cause of great trouble for the people. Regarding this, the local villagers have demanded from the District Magistrate to complete the bridge construction work soon.
Villagers say that due to this bridge falling under Gram Panchayat Barbatta (Block Amour, District Purnia) being incomplete, lakhs of people of about 10 panchayats have to resort to boats only for transportation. Everyday life is being affected by this.
Especially sick people have to face a lot of problems. They have to travel about 60 kilometers for treatment, due to which many times they even lose their lives due to not getting timely treatment. Apart from this, incidents of drowning due to loss of balance while traveling by boat have also been reported.
Villagers said that the bridge construction work has been incomplete for a long time, due to which the development of the area is also being affected. He has demanded the administration to complete the bridge construction as soon as possible.
Those making demands include dozens of villagers including ward members Rafat Jahan, Mohammad Shakeel, Noman Shahi, Niaz Mohammad, Zafar Alam, Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Sunnun.
Mukhiya Sangh President cum Head of Barbatta Panchayat Ghulam Azhar also took the problems of the villagers seriously and informed the District Magistrate and demanded to complete the bridge construction work soon.
