‘If the blockade continues, we will close the Persian Gulf’: Iran

Cairo: Commander of Iran’s Joint Military Command Ali Abdullahi has given a strict warning to America. He said that if the US does not immediately lift the blockade imposed on Iranian ports, Iran will completely stop all exports and imports in the Persian Gulf, Oman Sea and Red Sea. Iran’s government media has given this news.

‘Blockade is a violation of ceasefire’
Commander Abdullahi said that Iran is completely determined to protect its national sovereignty and interests. He described the American blockade as a violation of the ceasefire. He stressed that Iran’s powerful armed forces will not allow any exports or imports to continue in the region. This warning has come at a time when there is talk of a ceasefire between America and Iran. The commander said that this action of America is a step towards breaking the peace agreement. Iran will not tolerate this.

Iran had closed the Strait of Hormuz
Tehran effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz when Israel and the US launched attacks on Iran. The Strait of Hormuz is a very important sea route in the world. Iran has shown its strength by shutting it down. On Monday, America started a blockade around Iranian ports. The US Navy is now stopping ships traveling to and from Iran. America says that this blockade applies only to Iranian ships. This will not affect the movement of ships of other countries in the Persian Gulf.

Economy of many countries will be affected
America has claimed that the blockade has been completely implemented. Under this, the export of Iranian oil and other goods is being banned. Its purpose is to increase economic pressure on Iran. The warning of the Iranian army has become a matter of concern. If Iran closes the Persian Gulf, Oman Sea and Red Sea, global oil supplies could be affected. This may have a negative impact on the economy of many countries.

‘Iran will not back down’
About 20 percent of the world’s oil comes from the Persian Gulf. The Red Sea is also an important trade route between Europe and Asia. If these routes are closed, ships will have to take long detours, making trade expensive and slow. Iran is saying that ports will either be for everyone or for no one. If America keeps Iran’s ports closed, Iran will also affect the entire region. Commander Abdullahi said that Iran will not shy away from taking any step for its security.
