19 year old youth stabbed to death in Samaypur Badli, six minors caught

New Delhi. Police have arrested six minor accused in the case of stabbing death of a 19-year-old youth in Samaypur Badli area of ​​Outer North district. Police have also recovered the knife used in the crime. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the reason for the murder was mutual enmity and alleged objectionable remarks.

Hareshwar Swami, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer North District, said on Sunday that at around 7:44 pm on April 14, Samaypur Badli police station received information that a youth had been stabbed in MCD Colony. The injured youth was identified as Rajiv (19), who was a tempo driver by profession. He was immediately taken to Shalimar Bagh hospital, where he died during treatment.

Investigation revealed that the dispute started on April 13, when some local youths gathered near the house of the deceased and an altercation broke out between the two parties. The next day, on April 14, at around 7:30 pm, the same youth again reached the area and the fight escalated. Meanwhile, the accused attacked Rajiv with a knife.

Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the police immediately registered a case and started investigation. Acting on the basis of CCTV footage and local information, the police arrested six minor accused. Police investigation has revealed that the main accused and his grandmother had a dispute with the deceased and his family a day earlier. It is alleged that during the dispute, objectionable comments and gestures were made towards the elderly woman, due to which the accused got enraged and along with his associates attacked her with the intention of taking revenge. Police said that all the accused have been arrested under the provisions of the law and further investigation in the case is going on. Besides, police teams are also raiding different places in search of other possible accused.
