Clash with rebels in Pakistan’s Balochistan, three policemen killed

Islamabad. During the last 24 hours, three policemen lost their lives in a clash between police-security forces miscreants and rebels in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Many others were injured in both the incidents. Police and security forces have surrounded the area and started a search operation. On the other hand, the long-running fast of common citizens continues in front of Quetta Press Club. These people are demanding the Pakistan government to release the details of the people who have been and are being forcibly disappeared.

According to the reports of Dunya News Channel and The Balochistan Post, on Sunday, some miscreants opened fire on a police team in Khuzdar city of Balochistan province. Two soldiers including a woman constable lost their lives in this firing. According to the police spokesperson, this incident took place in Bagbana sub tehsil of Khuzdar. This police team had gone to raid after receiving a complaint of theft of solar panels. During the raid, armed miscreants opened fire on the police.

Police confirmed that head constable Samiullah and female constable Malik Naz were martyred in the attack. Additional station in-charge Ibrahim Shaikh and constable Najibullah were seriously injured. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital Khuzdar. Meanwhile, after the incident, police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the culprits.

Officials have confirmed that a policeman was killed in a heavy clash in Dasht Kambela area of ​​Mastung district. According to police, the deceased has been identified as head constable Rahmatullah Khilji, while six others have been injured. According to the police, Pakistan Army started the operation by encircling the plains of Kambela. During this time the army had to face attacks from rebels. Apart from this, armed rebels targeted a camp of security forces in Dasht Kund Mussoorie.

Apart from this, the protest and fast against enforced disappearances organized in front of Quetta Press Club continued for the 6139th day. This movement was started by Voice of Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP). On this occasion, Jamil Baloch, brother of Baloch student Sohail Baloch, reached the VBMP camp and lodged his protest. Jamil told that his brother Sohail Ahmed (son of Lal Mohammad) and his friend Fasihullah (son of Syed Abdul Rauf Shah) were forcibly disappeared from Balochistan University on November 1, 2021. He said both the students were Pakistan Studies (BS) students at Balochistan University and were staying in the hostel. Nothing is known about them.
