Korba: Wall under construction collapsed in strong storm, neighboring family buried – three injured

Korba. The sudden change in weather affected life in the district on Sunday night. A major accident took place in Kusmunda area amidst heavy rain and storm, in which three people of the same family were injured.

According to the information received, the construction work of the house was being done by Santosh Verma in Prem Nagar Kapatmuda road under Kusmunda. Meanwhile, the new wall built on the third floor of the house suddenly collapsed during a strong storm at around 9 pm on Sunday night. The wall fell directly on the house of neighbor Ajay Dhanwar, due to which the roof of the house broke and the debris of bricks fell on Ajay Dhanwar, his wife and child sleeping inside.

Hearing the loud noise at the time of the accident, nearby people reached the spot and were stunned to see the horrific scene. Due to the promptness of the local residents, all three injured were pulled out from the debris and immediately taken to Korba Hospital, where their treatment is going on.

In this accident, the scooter, utensils, bed and other household items kept inside the house were also damaged. It is being told that Santosh Verma, who got the construction work done, is also present in the hospital. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area and questions are being raised regarding safety standards in construction work.
