Coppa Italia: Inter Milan beats Como after trailing by two goals, makes place in the final
match. In Italy’s prestigious football competition Coppa Italia, Inter Milan has made a spectacular comeback and entered the final by defeating Como 3-2 in the second leg of the semi-finals.
In this match played after the first leg remained goalless, Inter has kept itself strong in the title race by registering a win despite falling behind by two goals. For Como, Martin Baturina and captain Lucas da Cunha gave the team the lead by scoring goals.
After this, Hakan Chalhanoglu played brilliantly and scored two goals for Inter Milan. He first brought the team back with a powerful long-range shot and then equalized through a header in the 86th minute.
In the 89th minute of the match, Petar Suchich showed excellent coordination with Chalhanoglu and scored the winning goal. Inter Milan has now reached the final, which will be played on 13 May.
The second semi-final is scheduled to be played between Atalanta and Lazio, where the first leg ended in a 2-2 draw. Inter Milan are also currently on top in Italy’s top league Serie A and can clinch the title this weekend.
It is noteworthy that Inter had last achieved the treble in 2010 under the leadership of coach Jose Mourinho by winning the League, Cup and Champions League. Inter Milan had earlier won its last Coppa Italia title in 2023 and now the team is once again close to repeating history.
