Madhya Pradesh: Instructions to close pubs and bars till 12 midnight in Bhopal, licenses will be canceled on violation
Bhopal. Police has increased strictness regarding the operation of pubs and bars in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. On Friday night, Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar held a meeting of all pub and bar operators and managers in the Commissioner’s office auditorium and issued clear instructions.
The timing of serving liquor has been fixed till 11:30 pm, while it will be mandatory for all pubs and bars to be completely closed by 12:00 pm. Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar said that on the lines of Indore, a monitoring system is being prepared through Zoom app.
In this, all the pub and bar operators will be added by forming a group, where they will have to send the photo of closure to the police by 12 o’clock every night. This will enable instructions to be given from time to time and will help in maintaining law and order. The entire system will be monitored from the control room.
In the meeting, the Police Commissioner gave instructions to strictly follow the rules of the government. If pubs and bars are found open after the stipulated time, action will be taken to cancel the licenses of the concerned establishments. He clearly said that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated.
Apart from this, it has been asked to compulsorily install CCTV cameras in all pubs and bars and ensure their regular monitoring. Instructions were also given to maintain adequate lighting and security arrangements, so that any untoward incident can be prevented. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules.
