Flood of faith in Kedarnath Dham, 1.24 lakh devotees visited in four days

Rudraprayag. With the beginning of the Yatra this year, unprecedented number of devotees is being recorded in Kedarnath Dham. In just four days, 1,24,782 devotees have visited Baba Kedar, which shows the increasing trend of religious faith across the country. Baba Kedar’s doors are open from 22nd April.

According to official figures, 31,160 devotees visited from 5 pm on April 24 to 5 pm on April 25. These include 21,035 men, 9,993 women and 132 children.

Within just four days of the doors opening, a record 1,24,782 devotees have visited Baba Kedar. This figure not only reflects the enthusiasm of the devotees, but also proves the strength and well-organized operation of the yatra arrangements.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements to make the journey smooth and safe. Additional police and administrative forces have been deployed in helipads, track routes and sensitive areas.

The entire journey is being monitored through the control room, ensuring quick response in case of any emergency. District Magistrate Rudraprayag Vishal Mishra said that the Yatra is being conducted successfully for the last 4 days and all the arrangements are completely organized.

He said that as per the instructions of the Chief Minister, all the teams are working diligently to ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience. Also, with the opening of the doors of Shri Bhairavnath Ji, evening Aarti is also being started in Kedarnath Dham from today, due to which the devotees will get another spiritual experience.

Kedar Sabha President Rajkumar Tiwari said that today is the fourth day that the doors of Kedarnath have been opened and today the doors of Lord Bhairavnath have also opened. He told that at present the arrangements in Kedarnath Dham are absolutely fine. Every devotee is getting the benefit of darshan. He said that defaming the Dham by some unruly elements is highly condemnable.

Senior member of Kedar Sabha, Umesh Chandra Posti said that under the leadership of BKTC and district administration, more than one lakh people have had darshan of Baba Kedar so far. He said that many people are spreading false and misleading news through social media.

He urged the devotees from India and abroad to visit Kedarnath Dham without any worries. He said that the temple administration, district administration, all together are busy in making arrangements day and night. There is no disturbance of any kind in Kedarnath. Token arrangements have been made for the pilgrims to visit the temple. Due to which darshan is happening quickly.

Kedar Sabha member Sanjay Tiwari, while welcoming all the devotees to Kedarnath, said that now the doors of Baba Bhairavnath have also opened. He said that the government, administration, Kedar Sabha and local people have made better arrangements for the stay, darshan and food of the pilgrims coming to Kedarnath.

Refuting the misleading news about Kedarnath Dham on social media, he said that the best arrangements have been made as per the geographical conditions. Effective steps have been taken at every level by the District Administration, Badri Kedar Temple Committee and Kedar Sabha etc. to make the Yatra safe, easy and devotee-friendly.
