Kolkata: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday addressed the public in 3 big rallies in Srirampur, Kolkata and Metiabruz in West Bengal. In these rallies, Rahul fiercely attacked both the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In the rally organized in Metiabruz, Rahul Gandhi said that he has 36 cases against him and he is not afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing a rally in Metiabruz, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Prime Minister Modi is attacking democracy in the entire country. They are stealing votes all over the country. These people attack whoever fights with BJP and RSS. I fight the ideology of BJP and RSS 24 hours a day in every state and they always attack me. There are 36 cases against me. I am not afraid of Prime Minister Modi. Only Congress party can defeat BJP, because Congress is a party of ideology and we cannot make any compromise with BJP.

Rahul Gandhi also made serious allegations against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said, ‘Mamata Banerjee has spread unemployment here. She had said in the last election that she would eliminate unemployment. She had said that she would provide employment to 5 lakh youth. Today there are 84 lakh unemployed youth in Bengal who have asked for unemployment allowance. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has done Saradha and chit fund scam. In their greed for power, BJP and TMC have caused a lot of harm to the people of West Bengal. The web of corruption and hooliganism is spread across the state, the people are upset and the government is just watching the show.

Taking aim at Mamata Banerjee, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Mamata Banerjee is opening the way for Narendra Modi and BJP in Bengal because she does not run a proper government, she runs a corrupt government. Doesn’t provide employment, doesn’t bring development. What is the result? BJP government should never come to Bengal. But your Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is opening the way for BJP in Bengal. This is the truth and no one can deny this truth. Due to their greed for power, both the parties have caused harm to the people.
