15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive century went in vain, Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan by 5 wickets.

Jaipur. Despite a historic century by 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Rajasthan Royals had to face defeat in the 36th match of the Indian Premier League 2026. Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 5 wickets in a high scoring match played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Batting first, Rajasthan scored 228 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. For the team, Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a stormy innings of 103 runs in just 37 balls and completed his second IPL century in 36 balls. He hit 12 sixes and 5 fours in his innings, while Dhruv Jurel scored 51 runs and Donovan Ferreira scored 33 runs in 16 balls.

Chasing the target of 229 runs, Hyderabad won the match by losing 5 wickets in 18.3 overs. On behalf of the team, Ishan Kishan played a brilliant inning of 74 runs and Abhishek Sharma played a brilliant inning of 57 runs. Apart from this, Nitish Kumar Reddy made important contribution of 36 runs and Heinrich Klaasen made 29 runs.

For Rajasthan, Joffra Archer and Brajesh Sharma took 2 wickets each, while for Hyderabad, Ishan Malinga took 2 wickets.

With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad reached third place in the points table, while Rajasthan Royals slipped to fourth place due to lack of better net run rate. Both the teams now have 10-10 points, but Hyderabad is ahead.
