Siwan. Taking major action against land mafia in the district, the police raided the premises of RJD MLA from Raghunathpur Assembly Osama Shahab on Monday morning. This action was taken under the leadership of Saran area DIG Nilesh Kumar and SP Puran Kumar Jha.
The police team simultaneously raided the ancestral house at Pratappur in Hussainganj police station area and the house at Naya Qila in Nagar police station area. An intensive search was conducted at the Siwan residence for about 40 minutes.
After the raid, DIG Nilesh Kumar said in clear words that the land mafia of Siwan should now leave the city, because the police is in a mood to take strict action against them. He told that a case of taking over the land of a doctor on the basis of extortion had come to light in Mahadeva police station area.
During the police investigation in this case, names of many people including MLA Osama Shahab have been revealed. According to the DIG, the police have found enough evidence in this case, on the basis of which a raid warrant was obtained from the court and action was taken.
However, he denied arresting anyone at the moment, but clarified that further legal action will be expedited.
SDPO Ajay Kumar Singh, Gauri Kumari and many police station incharges and a large number of armed soldiers were involved in this raid operation.
