Police issued traffic plan regarding IPL matches in Dharamshala Stadium
Hospice . Kangra Police has issued a traffic plan regarding the IPL matches to be held at the Dharamshala Stadium of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. Superintendent of Police Kangra Ashok Ratan said that special arrangements have been made to maintain smooth traffic in the city during the matches on 11, 14, 17 and 26 May.
According to the police administration, there will be a ban on movement of heavy vehicles in Dharamshala and McLeodganj six hours before the start of the match. However, route buses and vehicles connected to essential services have been exempted. This system will remain in force till two hours after the end of the match.
The police administration has clarified that roadside parking will not be allowed in any designated area. Barricading, one-way movement and diversion will be implemented to control traffic.
Shuttle bus service will also be run for the spectators coming to watch the match. Vehicles coming from Chamunda and Yol will be parked at Zorawar Stadium Sidhbari.
Whereas vehicles coming from Kangra, Mataur and Gaggal will be parked at Daadi Mela Ground and Achievers Hub School grounds. From these parking lots, spectators will be dropped near the stadium through shuttle buses.
There will be diversion on these routes
Vehicles going to Mcleodganj will be diverted via Gandhi Chowk bypass route, while vehicles coming from Mcleodganj to Dharamshala will be diverted via Temple Road and Fawwara Chowk route. Special parking and diversion arrangements have also been made for vehicles coming from Sakoh. The Government Senior Secondary School Boys Dharamshala ground will be reserved for media vehicles.
Separate arrangements for vehicles with VIP and special passes
Parking arrangements have been made for VIP and HPCA special pass holders at SAI Ground and New Himuda Complex Football Ground. Only vehicles with authorized passes will be allowed entry inside the stadium.
On the other hand, the police administration has appealed to the people for cooperation and said not to violate the rules. If anyone does this then action will be taken against them under the Himachal Pradesh Police Act.
