Will peace be restored in the Middle East?

Dubai: Amidst increasing tension in the Middle East, Iran has given its response to America’s proposal regarding ceasefire. This reply has been sent to Pakistani mediators. Iran’s government media confirmed this and said that the main focus of these talks should be on ending the war permanently.

Iran wants to end the war completely
Iran’s state TV reported that Iran wants to end the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and ensure the safety of shipping. Washington’s latest proposal called for an agreement to end the war, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and roll back Iran’s nuclear program. However, Tehran currently wants to discuss the issue of nuclear program later.

No reaction from White House at present
However, there was no immediate official reaction from the White House on Iran’s response. Meanwhile, US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz says that President Donald Trump wants to give full opportunity at the diplomatic level before taking any kind of military action.

Trump had threatened Iran
Earlier, US President Trump had threatened Iran and said that if there is no agreement including reopening of Hormuz to international ships, Iran will be bombed again. Earlier, the US Army had fired on an Iranian oil tanker trying to break the US blockade of Iran’s ports.

Trump had written on social media that the war with Iran could end soon and the supply of oil and natural gas could resume. However, he said it all depends on Iran accepting a proposed deal. Trump has not given any information about the agreement. “If he doesn’t agree, the bombing will begin,” Trump said.
