Police made big revelation in paper leak case

Rajasthan: A big revelation has been made in the paper leak case of year 2022 in Rajasthan. ​Rajasthan Police on Sunday said the question paper of the school lecturer recruitment exam of 2022 was leaked by a then member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), who allegedly sold it to a gang for Rs 60 lakh. Vishal Bansal, Additional Director General (ADG) of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police, told a press conference here that former RPSC member Babulal Katara had provided the question paper of Agricultural Science subject to the alleged kingpin Anil alias Sher Singh Meena for Rs 60 lakh.

Officials said that Meena had also made a deal with the accused to provide Geography question paper for her nephew Vijay Damor. SOG had arrested Katara, Meena and Damor in this case in May-June 2023. Bansal said that Katara had already been arrested in question paper leak cases of three other recruitment examinations.

Economics paper had already been leaked
According to the officials, the school lecturer recruitment examination for various subjects was conducted in the year 2022 and SOG had already revealed the question paper leak of Economics subject. He said that further investigation has now confirmed that the question paper of Agricultural Science subject has been leaked. The matter came to light after the arrest of lecturer Ashok Yadav, in whose academic records a huge difference in marks was found. During interrogation, Yadav admitted that he had received the leaked question paper of Agricultural Science from Meena’s colleague Vinod Rewar. After this, during interrogation of Meena it was revealed that she had bought this question paper from Katara for Rs 60 lakh.

Geography paper was also asked for
Investigators said Katara had also asked to provide Geography question paper for her nephew. However, Damor could not pass the examination. According to officials, copies of the leaked question paper were delivered to the candidates through the network of Vinod Rewar, Bhupendra Saran and Suresh Dhaka. Police said that Saran has been arrested, while Rewar and Dhaka are absconding and a search is on for them. SOG is also investigating how many candidates benefited from the question paper leak in this recruitment exam. According to the police, detailed investigation of the case is going on.
