Carlo Ancelotti will remain the coach of Brazil team till FIFA World Cup 2030

New Delhi. The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) confirmed on Thursday that head coach Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with the Brazil national team until the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The new contract will be in effect for the next four years.

Ancelotti was appointed head coach of Brazil in May last year. Under his guidance, Brazil qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada from June 11.

So far, during Ancelotti’s tenure, Brazil has played 10 matches, in which the team has won five, drawn two and lost three. Their goal is to make Brazil World Cup champion for a record sixth time.

“I arrived in Brazil a year ago. From the first minute I understood what football meant to this country,” Carlo Ancelotti said in an official statement.

Over the past year we have been working to take the Brazil national team back to the pinnacle of world football. But CBF and I want even more — more wins, more time and more hard work.”

He added, “We are very pleased to announce that we will be staying together for the next four years. We will work together until the 2030 World Cup. I would like to thank the CBF for their trust. Brazil, thank you for your warm welcome and so much love.”

“The renewal of Carlo Ancelotti’s contract is another strong step towards our resolve to make the five-time World Champion national team even stronger, more modern and more competitive,” said Samir Saud, President of the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF).

We are working every day to ensure that Brazil remains at the top level of world football. “We are also paying special attention to the development of other national teams, competitions organized by CBF and strengthening of clubs and associations across the country.”
