Fresh tension has emerged at Real Madrid after Kylian Mbappé publicly responded to recent comments made by coach Alvaro Arbeloa.
The French superstar reacted after Arbeloa reportedly spoke about Mbappé’s recent trip to Italy with his girlfriend during a period away from the squad. The trip had been authorized by the club, but the situation still became a major topic in Spanish media over the last few days.
Mbappé appeared frustrated by the growing discussion and dismissed the importance of Arbeloa’s press conference comments.
“I do not watch Arbeloa’s press conferences,” Mbappé said. “I have French TV at home, I don’t know what he said.”
The response has added more fuel to an already tense atmosphere around the Madrid dressing room. Reports in recent weeks have suggested internal clashes between players, while questions have also grown around team hierarchy, dressing room influence, and Arbeloa’s strong management style.
The situation became more intense after Arbeloa recently defended his decision to leave Mbappé on the bench before bringing him on in the second half of a match. The coach also made it clear that no player is bigger than the team and insisted he alone decides the starting lineup.
