Education department gave answers regarding on screen marking
On Screen Marking: A press conference was held by the Education Department regarding the ongoing confusion regarding on screen marking. In this, what is on screen marking and how it is being done, the answer was given. Education Department Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that as you know, the marking of Class 12 results recently announced by CBSE was done this time using the ‘On-Screen Marking’ (OSM) system. Subsequently, some concerns have emerged. Specifically, students feel that the overall pass percentage has declined. The truth is that the pass percentage has declined by 3 percent compared to last year, from 88 percent to 85 percent. Some students feel that they should have got more marks than they actually got. I would like to emphasize that on-screen marking is neither a new concept nor has it been implemented for the first time.
OMR will be convenient for students
Education Department Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that this time when the 12th exams were conducted, a PDF copy was made by scanning the answer sheet. It was scanned and three levels of security were also maintained. Checked from the point of view of security number, so that we can send that answer sheet anywhere. With the advent of OSM, you can get it checked even by going outside the regional office. When there is an online digital system, the mistakes that used to happen in totaling are also eliminated.
Under what circumstances will the money be taken?
He said that students should apply, we will check the papers with equal precision and seriousness. We will check that the numbers remain accurate. It is being said that we charge an amount of Rs 700, but it is not so. CBSE has decided that if you want to see the answer sheet or get the validation done, then we will charge an amount of Rs 100. Rs 100 will be charged for validation and Rs 25 will be charged for checking the answer. If your numbers increase then your money will be returned. This process will be started from the 19th.
