Anuppur: Death toll in tractor-trolley overturning accident increases to 6
Anuppur. The number of dead in the tractor-trolley overturning accident that took place on Friday evening on the border of village Bijora, Sarai Chowki, police station Karanpathar and Umaria district of Pushparajgarh district panchayat of Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh has increased to 6.
In fact, on Friday evening, four people died when a tractor-trolley filled with devotees overturned in a culvert near Tivani village on the border of Anuppur-Umaria districts, while two injured people died during treatment on Saturday. Whereas 22 injured are undergoing treatment in the Medical College, Shahdol. All the villagers were going from Padmania to village Bijora for worship.
Late on Friday night, Collector Harshal Pancholi reached Shahdol Medical College and met the injured patients, inquired about the health of the injured and consoled the families.
The Collector has instructed the Medical College management to provide the best and highest level treatment to all the injured. In this tragic accident, financial assistance of Rs 8 lakh each will be provided to the families of the citizens killed in this tragic accident.
6 died
Six people have lost their lives in this accident. All the deceased are residents of village Padmania. Two died at the incident site, two at Pali Community Health Center and two during treatment at Medical College, Shahdol.
A fifteen-year-old boy is also among the dead. The deceased include 45-year-old Ghanshyam Singh, 55-year-old Sahabal Baiga, 50-year-old Bhupat Singh and 60-year-old Bir Singh, besides 15-year-old Dharampal and 40-year-old Krishnapal Singh.
41 people were injured in the accident, who were taken to Pali Community Health Centre. The seriously injured are being treated at the District Hospital, Umaria and the seriously injured are being treated at the Medical College, Shahdol.
Divisional Commissioner – Collector reached the Medical College late at night to inquire about the well being of the injured.
Shahdol Divisional Commissioner Surbhi Gupta and Anuppur Collector Harshal Pancholi reached Medical College Shahdol late in the night to inquire about the well being of the injured and gave instructions for better treatment.
Collector Harshal Pancholi reached Shahdol Medical College and met the injured patients, inquired about the health of the injured and consoled the families. Also, instructions have been given to the medical college management to provide the best and high level treatment to all the injured.
In this tragic accident, an assistance amount of Rs 8 lakh will be given to the family members of the deceased. In which financial assistance of Rs 4-4 lakh will be provided through Chief Minister’s voluntary grant and Rs 4-4 lakh under Sambal Yojana.
