Cockroach XI flew in the storm of 105 runs, Shane Machhrehta won the Singhahi Night Cricket Trophy.

Singhahi-Kheeri, 03 June (Tarunmitra). The final match of the Singhahi Night Cricket Tournament going on at the fair ground of the town was played on Tuesday night between Shane Machhrehta Sitapur and Cockroach XI Sidhauna. In the final, Shane Machhrehta performed brilliantly and won the title by defeating Sidhauna by 49 runs.
The match was inaugurated by chief guest Nagar Panchayat Chairman Mohd. Qayyum and Zilla Panchayat member Thakur Dinesh Singh took the shot with cricket tournament president Rahul Gupta. After winning the toss, Sidhauna team decided to bowl first.
Batting first, Shane Machhrehta Sitapur team scored 105 runs in 10 overs. The team’s batsmen played aggressively from the beginning and maintained pressure on Sidhuna’s bowlers. In reply, while chasing the target of 106 runs, the team of Cockroach XI Sidhauna could score only 56 runs at the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 10 overs. Shane Machhrehta’s bowlers bowled accurately and did not give the opposition a chance to play freely. In this way, Shane Machhrehta won by 49 runs and captured the tournament trophy.
In the closing ceremony, the winning team was awarded a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and the runner-up team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The Man of the Series award was given to Shane Machhrehta player Raman.
Ravikant Jaiswal and Shailendra Gupta alias Shalu played the role of umpires in the match, while Dilshad Master enthused the audience with his brilliant commentary. The enthusiasm of the players and cricket lovers was seen on the field till late night.
