Lalu-Rabri’s big step in protest against security cuts, soldiers returned back
Patna. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Council Rabri Devi have returned all the security personnel deployed at their official residence.
According to the information, both the leaders directed the security personnel to leave the residence, after which all the security personnel withdrew from there. After this incident, the security arrangements outside Lalu Yadav’s official residence were completely dismantled and there was silence in the premises. RJD’s chief spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav has also confirmed this entire matter today.
After this step taken in protest against the decision to reduce security, the soldiers posted at the residence returned to their respective barracks. Security arrangements were also removed from the main entrance. Where usually there was visible activity of security personnel outside the residence, there is no longer any security presence.
It is noteworthy that only two days ago the state government had re-evaluated the security of many VIP persons. On the basis of this review, changes were made in the security arrangements of Lalu family members.
However, there has been no change in the security of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. Under the new system, prescribed security facilities will be available to Lalu Prasad Yadav being the former Chief Minister.
This includes arrangements like house guards, bodyguards, pilot vehicles, escorts and bulletproof vehicles. Rabri Devi will also continue to have the facility of bulletproof car along with security personnel, male and female bodyguards, pilot and escort vehicle. However, the number of security forces has been reduced compared to earlier.
