Strong entry of pre-monsoon in Chhattisgarh, heavy rain in many districts including Raipur
Raipur. Pre-monsoon has completely changed the weather pattern in Chhattisgarh. There was heavy rain along with strong thunderstorm in the capital Raipur late Thursday evening. In Surguja and Korba districts too, dark clouds appeared in the sky after noon and it rained heavily.
Due to which people have got relief from the scorching heat and humidity. There was power failure in many parts of Raipur for a long time, due to which people faced a lot of trouble. There are dark clouds in the sky since this morning.
Due to this pre-monsoon, the maximum temperature has dropped by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists have issued a yellow alert for hailstorm and strong winds at a speed of 40-50 km per hour in many districts for the next 48 hours. Monsoon is likely to enter Chhattisgarh via Bastar within the next 3 to 4 days.
According to meteorologists, at present separate cyclonic circulation systems are forming over the Bay of Bengal and North India. Along with this, an active seasonal trough is also passing.
Due to the simultaneous activation of these two big systems, a huge amount of moisture is coming into the air, which is proving to be most helpful in advancing the monsoon. The Meteorological Department has said that the weather conditions have now become completely favorable for the entry of monsoon in Chhattisgarh.
Meteorologists estimate that monsoon may hit some areas of Chhattisgarh within the next 2 to 3 days. While issuing an alert for the entire state today, the Meteorological Department has said that there is every possibility of increase in the activities of thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rains in many parts of the state.
Due to rain and clouds in the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature of South Chhattisgarh (Bastar division) has dropped significantly by 5 degrees Celsius. At present, no major change was seen in the temperature of North and Central Chhattisgarh. During this period, the highest temperature in the state was recorded at 43 degrees Celsius in Rajnandgaon, while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 23.1 degrees Celsius in Jagdalpur.
