12 Indian citizens lost their lives in Qatar factory accident, embassy expressed condolences
Doha. 12 Indian nationals have died in an accident in Qatar’s Ras Laffan industrial area. The Indian Embassy in Qatar has expressed deep sorrow over this incident and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.
According to the Indian Embassy, Qatari authorities have confirmed that the condition of the other people injured in the accident is currently stable and they are being treated. The Embassy has said that it is in constant touch with the local administration and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected Indian citizens and their families.
The embassy also informed that coordination is being done with the concerned authorities regarding the process of sending the mortal remains of the deceased to India soon.
According to information released by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, the accident occurred due to a technical fault during operation at a factory located in Ras Laffan Industrial City. According to preliminary information, a total of 13 people from different countries died in the accident and many others were injured.
Officials said that immediately after the accident, emergency and security agencies reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. Immediate medical facilities were provided to the injured and search operations have also been completed.
