New paradigm of development created under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi

India has been established as the world’s fastest growing economy and the best destination for investment. And, in the last 9 years, Uttar Pradesh has had the privilege of being a participant in this growth story. Earlier the image of UP was not very good. We were characterized by deteriorating law and order, policy paralysis, lack of governance and a ‘sick state’. Migration had become the destiny. People’s connection with agriculture and MSME was broken.

UP will get everything that India expects

The Chief Minister said that now everything that India expects will be available in UP. UP has better law and order, world class infrastructure, 60% expressways of the country, 16,000 km rail network and 4 lakh km road network. UP is recognized by its unmatched connectivity in the form of Varanasi-Haldia National Waterway, Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail, Metro in seven cities, junction of Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors, 5 international and 11 domestic airports. The government is working on 5 new airports. Commercial flights have started at Noida International Airport from June 15.

Top-3 economies built on stability and security

The Chief Minister said that as a result of stability and security, UP has now emerged from a sick state and has become the top-3 economy of the country. We have been a revenue surplus state for the last 6 years. The economy and per capita income tripled in 9 years. We have a land bank of 75,000 acres available with 36 sectoral policies. Industrial and logistics clusters are being developed at 27 places along the expressway. The largest industrial city is developing in the form of Bida.

Investors will get skilled manpower

Assuring investors about skilled manpower, the Chief Minister said that UP produces 2 lakh STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) graduates every year. 2 IITs, one IIM, three State Technical Universities and a large network of technical-vocational education are making the youth proficient in every field. We are preparing skilled manpower in emerging technologies as per the need of the industry.

Tremendous success in agriculture and industry sector

Discussing agriculture and MSME sector, the Chief Minister said that in the last 9 years our agricultural growth rate increased from 8% to 18%. Farmers have been connected to training and markets through five agricultural universities and 89 farmer development centres. UP has the highest 86% irrigated agricultural land in the country. There are 96 lakh MSME units operating in the state, which have got a tremendous boost from the ODOP (One District-One Product) scheme. Through this scheme, a unique product brand has been created for every district. In the last 9 years, more than 18,000 big industrial institutions were established in UP. Nine years ago, there were only 14,000 big factories in the state, whose number has increased to more than 33,000 today.

Investors will get security, convenience and policy stability

Assuring the business leaders, the Chief Minister said that the double engine government of Uttar Pradesh will provide security, single window facility and policy stability to every investor. You will realize the possibilities you have heard about UP yourself with your investment.
