Rain alert in 50 districts of Madhya Pradesh, warning of heavy rain in five districts
Bhopal. Monsoon is gradually becoming active in Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain in 50 districts of the state on Tuesday, while out of the 15 districts where monsoon has reached, alert of heavy rain has been issued in Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni and Balaghat. These districts may receive about 4 inches of rain during the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, a new weather system will be active from July 2, due to which heavy to very heavy rains are likely to begin in many parts of the state. Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Indore, Dhar.
Burhanpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Ujjain, Agar-Malwa, Shajapur, Dewas, Narmadapuram, Harda, Guna, Ashoknagar, Jabalpur, Katni, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Dindori, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Mauganj, Maihar, Shahdol, Umaria, Anuppur.
Rain warning has been issued in 50 districts including Sagar, Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari. Strong winds can blow at speeds up to 60 kilometers per hour in these areas.
There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Datia, Shivpuri, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Jhabua and Alirajpur.
It rained in many districts on Monday
On Monday, rain was recorded in many districts including Indore, Guna, Balaghat, Shivpuri, Jabalpur, Khargone, Rajgarh, Chhindwara, Sidhi, Khandwa, Sehore and Dewas, providing relief to people from the heat.
According to the Meteorological Department, more than one and a half inches of rain was recorded in Balaghat, about two and a half inches in Shivpuri and more than half an inch in Jabalpur.
Heat still affects some districts
Despite the rain, heat persists in some areas of the state. Khajuraho was the hottest, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.2 degrees Celsius.
Apart from this, temperature of 40.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nagaon and 40.3 degrees Celsius in Gwalior. Whereas the maximum temperature was recorded at 34.2 degrees in Bhopal, 33.2 degrees in Indore, 35.5 degrees in Ujjain and 38.4 degrees Celsius in Jabalpur.
The cities with the lowest temperatures included Khandwa (31.1 degrees), Seoni (31.4 degrees), Betul (31.8 degrees), Khargone (32 degrees), Pachmarhi (32.8 degrees), Dhar (33.4 degrees), Chhindwara (33.6 degrees) and Guna (33.7 degrees).
