CBSE Board: Students who appeared for the second examination of 10th class from CBSE board this year are still waiting for their results. The examination of these students was completed 50 days ago, but the result has not been released yet. Because of this, students are facing difficulty in taking admission in class 11th. Parents of students are sharing their problems on social media and demanding the board to release the results soon. The mother of a student said that the child’s admission has not been confirmed yet as the results of the second board examination have not come, but the school has been demanding fees since the month of April.
What is the matter?
CBSE has started the scheme of two board exams for class 10th students. According to the board, the class 10 board exam is being conducted twice from 2026. Under this, students will have to compulsorily appear in the first (Main) examination, while the second examination will be an additional opportunity for ‘compartment’ category students and those who want to improve their marks. The best marks from both the examinations will be shown in the mark-sheet-cum-certificate issued by the Board. Students who clear the first exam can improve their marks in maximum three subjects from Science, Mathematics, Social Science and Languages.
More than 68 lakh students took the second examination
A total of 6,68,854 regular candidates applied for the second board exam of Class 10, out of which 5,25,655 applied for improvement, 85,285 applied under ‘compartment’ category and 57,914 applied for both ‘compartment’ and improvement categories. The examination of these students was held between 15th and 21st May, but the result has not been released yet. At the same time, admission of other students in class 11th has been done in the month of April itself and studies are also going on, but the students who appeared for the second examination are still waiting for the result, so that their admission can be completed.

Students and their parents are facing problems due to delay in results. There are speculations that the result can be released within a week, but no official information has been revealed in this regard. The family members of a student wrote on Twitter that due to delay in the result, the child’s admission has not been done yet, but the school has been demanding fees since the month of April.
