Vaishali. An Army soldier and his father, who had come home on leave, were shot dead on Sunday morning in Rajaso village under Bidupur police station area of Vaishali district in Bihar over a road dispute. There is an atmosphere of panic in the entire area due to this double murder.
According to the police, the deceased army jawan has been identified as Jitendra Kumar, who was posted in the Indian Army in Delhi. It is being told that after a relative died due to electric shock a few days ago, he had come to his village on leave. During this time, he had a dispute with his cousin Jagdish Rai regarding the road through the disputed land in the village.
According to local people, there was an altercation between the two parties regarding the road late on Saturday evening. On receiving the information, Bidupur police station reached the spot and calmed down the matter by convincing both the parties. However, this controversy did not end completely.
On Sunday morning the accused party allegedly attacked again. It is alleged that Jagdish Rai first opened fire on Jitendra Kumar and his father Munarik Rai. Munarik Rai died on the spot due to bullet injury, while seriously injured Jitendra Kumar was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Bidupur police station and senior officers reached the spot. The police inspected the spot and collected evidence and took both the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem. After this incident of double murder, there is an atmosphere of tension in the entire village. Police force has also been deployed as a precaution.
Sadar SDPO Subodh Kumar said that in the preliminary investigation the matter seems to be related to a road dispute. He said that continuous raids are being conducted to arrest the main accused. After the incident, the accused and his family members have fled the house.
