Stock market weak in early trading, selling pressure on Sensex and Nifty
- In early trade, Sensex was trading down 0.62 percent and Nifty down 0.53 percent.
- BSE Sensex opened 344.06 points lower at 77,272.34.
- NSE Nifty opened with a fall of 143 points at 24,068 points.
New Delhi. There seems to be pressure in the domestic stock market during early trading today. Today’s trading also started with weakness.
After the market opened, buyers maintained buying pressure for some time, due to which there was some improvement in the movement of both Sensex and Nifty indices.
However, after the first 10 minutes of trading, selling pressure once again arose, due to which the weakness of both these indices increased.
After the first one hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a weakness of 0.62 percent and Nifty with a weakness of 0.53 percent.
After the first one hour of trading, shares of stock market giants Cipla, Hindalco Industries, Bharti Airtel, TCS and Nestle were trading with gains ranging from 1.58 percent to 0.84 percent.
On the other hand, shares of Shriram Finance, InterGlobe Aviation, HCL Technology, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bajaj Finance were seen trading with a fall of 3.49 per cent to 2.11 per cent.
In the current trading, there was active trading in 2,703 shares in the stock market. Of these, 866 shares were trading in the green after making profits, while 1,837 shares were trading in the red after incurring losses.
Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 8 shares remained in the green with the support of buying. On the other hand, 22 shares were trading in the red due to selling pressure. Whereas out of 50 shares included in Nifty, 19 shares were seen trading in green mark and 31 shares were seen trading in red mark.
BSE Sensex opened today at 77,272.34 points with a weakness of 344.06 points or 0.44 percent. Buying started as soon as the market opened, due to which in the first 10 minutes of trading the index recovered about 130 points from the opening level and reached the level of 77,402.79 points. After this, there was selling pressure in the market, due to which the Sensex kept falling.
Due to continuous selling, around 10 am this index fell by more than 550 points to the level of 77,063.41 points.
After the first one hour of trading amidst continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am the Sensex was trading at the level of 77,135.08 points, down by 481.32 points.
Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty today started trading at 24,068 points, falling 143 points or 0.59 percent.
As soon as the market opened, with the support of buying, this index improved by about 90 points from the opening level to reach the level of 24,157.10 points. After buying for the first 10 minutes, there was selling pressure in the market, due to which the movement of Nifty started weakening.
Due to continuous selling, around 10 am this index fell by more than 160 points to the level of 24,050.55 points.
After this, buyers once again tried to create buying pressure, due to which there was a slight improvement in the position of this index.
After the first one hour of trading between continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am Nifty was trading at the level of 24,083.75 points, slipping by 127.25 points.
Before this, on the last trading day on Monday, the Sensex had closed at the level of 77,616.40 points with a slight gain of 47.01 points or 0.06 percent.
At the same time, Nifty ended Monday’s trading at the level of 24,211 points with a symbolic rise of 4.10 points or 0.02 percent.
