‘Srikanth’ became the best film in the film awards, Kartik Aryan-Yami Gautam won.

Film Awards: The names of the winners of the 72nd National Film Awards were announced for the films released in the year 2024. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting officially announced the names of the winners at the National Media Center in New Delhi to honor the best films and artistes of 2024, which saw the dominance of actors like Kartik Aryan and Yami Gautam. This event was streamed live on the YouTube channel of PIB India, in which Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Srikanth’ was given the Best Hindi Film Award, while Dhanush’s ‘Rayaan’ was given the Best Tamil Film Award and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Article 370’ got the National Award for Best Feature Film.

Kartik Aryan became the best actor and Yami Gautam became the best actress.
The National Award for Best Actor for 2024 was shared by Kartik Aryan and Mammootty. Karthik Aryan has received the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ award for ‘Chandu Champion’ and Mammootty has received the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ award for ‘Brahmayugam’. Earlier in June 2026, Mammootty was honored with Padma Bhushan by President Draupadi Murmu. At the same time, Yami Gautam won the award for ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ for ‘Article 370’.
