Ramayana trailer leaked online despite NDA; Ranbir Kapoor’s as Lord Ram , Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita’s scenes go viral; fans ask about authenticityinstagram

The trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is all set for its official digital release on July 24. However, ahead of the release, the makers held a grand launch event in Delhi, attended by the film’s entire star cast, who greeted the media and fans.

The trailer was screened three times during the event. Those present were required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure that no footage or details from the trailer were leaked on social media before its official release.

Despite the strict precautions, clips claiming to feature footage from the trailer began circulating online within hours, leaving fans both thrilled and curious.

Viewers watching the official livestream also noticed that the broadcast was paused every time the trailer was played inside the venue, highlighting the makers’ efforts to keep the visuals under wraps until the official digital release.

However, this didn’t completely prevent spoilers. Several videos claiming to show scenes from the trailer surfaced across social media, with fans sharing screenshots and discussing the visuals. While the authenticity of every circulating clip has not been independently verified, the footage is claimed to be from the original trailer days ahead of its worldwide release.

About the visuals in the leaked trailer

The leaked footage begins with King Dashratha, played by Arun Govil, receiving blessings from Lord Indra, along with a prophecy that his son will one day end the evil reign of Demon King Raavan.

The trailer then offers an extended look at Ranbir Kapoor as Prince Rama, showcasing him honing his archery skills while riding a horse blindfolded. It also captures the emotional moment when Rama accepts his mother Kaikeyi’s command and decides to spend 14 years in exile in the forests.

One of the standout dialogues has Rama saying, “Vishwa kalyan ke liye agar mera anth bhi ho jaye, toh bhi mujhe sweekar hai” (Even if my life comes to an end for the welfare of the world, I will accept it). Ranbir portrays Lord Rama with remarkable calmness, dignity and unwavering devotion to his father and king.

The leaked clips also feature the iconic Sita Swayamvar sequence, where Rama is seen lifting the Shiv Dhanush (Lord Shiva’s divine bow) to win Sita’s hand in marriage.

Towards the end, viewers get their first glimpse of Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. She is heard asking Rama, “What about your words, which you said to me at the time of your marriage?” (What about the promise you made to me at the time of our marriage?)

She then reassures Rama of her unwavering support, saying, “Bhagya mein jo bhi likha hai, usse acceptar karna hoga” (Whatever destiny has written for us, we must accept it).

Although only a portion of the trailer has reportedly leaked online, fans have finally got their first glimpse of Kannada star Yash as Lankeshwar Raavan.

The purported clips offer first glimpses of Yash as Raavan, Arun Govil as King Dashratha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, and Sai Pallavi as Sita.

The circulating videos also appear to show Dashratha receiving a prophecy that his son will end the reign of Demon King Raavana. Other scenes reportedly feature Ranbir Kapoor’s Rama practising archery while riding a horse blindfolded, accepting exile following Kaikeyi’s command, and lifting the Shiv Dhanush during Sita’s swayamvar.

The leaked visuals have sparked mixed reactions online. While many users praised Ranbir Kapoor’s look as Lord Rama, others felt the trailer relied heavily on CGI and AI-generated visuals. Blurry clips featuring Sai Pallavi as Sita have also gone viral, further fuelling discussions on social media.

The launch event, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, director Nitesh Tiwari, and producer Namit Malhotra, who unveiled the trailer exclusively for the audience present.
