Gold and silver prices remained elevated in the domestic bullion market on July 19, with both precious metals continuing to trade near record levels amid global economic uncertainty and strong investor interest.
According to the latest bullion rates, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,41,880 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,30,056 per 10 grams. Silver was trading at ₹2,20,803 per kilogram in the benchmark Mumbai market.
In Mumbai, the benchmark reference rates were around ₹1,43,513 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹2,31,905 per kg for silver, reflecting regional variations in bullion pricing.
Today’s silver price in India stands at approximately ₹215 to ₹235 per gram and about ₹2,15,000 to ₹2,35,000 for 1 kilogram, depending on the city and local jewellers’ making charges. Spot prices in the global market are hovering just below $56 per ounce.

Bullion prices have remained volatile in recent sessions as investors track geopolitical tensions, movements in the US dollar, inflation trends and expectations around global interest rates. Analysts say precious metals are likely to remain sensitive to developments surrounding central bank policies and global economic data.
Jewellers advise buyers to compare local rates before making purchases, as retail prices may vary depending on making charges, GST and city-specific premiums.
