6 coaches of goods train derail on Ghaziabad-New Delhi railway section, 53 trains affected

New Delhi. Rail traffic has been affected due to the derailment of six loaded coaches of a goods train on the Ghaziabad-New Delhi railway section of Delhi Division on Tuesday.

After the incident, the railway administration has intensified the relief and restoration work and has cancelled, diverted, partially canceled and controlled many trains. There is no report of any loss of life or injury in the accident.

According to Northern Railway, as soon as information about the accident was received, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) and other senior officers reached the spot and are monitoring the restoration work.

Railways said that a total of 53 trains have been affected. Of these, the route of 24 trains was changed, 16 passenger trains were completely cancelled, five trains were partially canceled and the operation of eight trains was controlled.

According to Northern Railway, the trains which have been completely canceled include 64437 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64402 Delhi-Shahibabad, 64411 Shahibabad-Delhi, 64408 Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64423 Ghaziabad-New Delhi.

64430 New Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64425 Ghaziabad-New Delhi, 64432 New Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64417 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64439 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64406 Delhi-Ghaziabad, 64401 Ghaziabad-Delhi, 64434 Delhi-Ghaziabad and 64031 Ghaziabad-Sahibabad. Are included.

Apart from this, 64104 New Delhi-DKDE has been started from Ghaziabad, 64109 DKDE-SSB has been restricted to Ghaziabad.

64112 SSB-DKDE has been operated from Ghaziabad, 64152 Delhi-Aligarh Junction has been operated from Ghaziabad and 64053 Palwal-Ghaziabad has been operated up to New Delhi only.

Whereas 54474 Saharanpur-Delhi passenger was diverted from Sahibabad-Delhi Sarai Rohilla route. Railways has appealed to the people to get updated status of their trains before travelling.
