Centralized placement portal launched for youth employment
Lucknow. In order to provide better employment opportunities to the youth of the state and to link technical education with the needs of the industries, the Technical Education Minister of the state on Tuesday launched the centralized placement portal in his office room located in the Legislative Assembly. Through this portal, the employment and placement process will be made more transparent, simple and effective by bringing students, educational institutions and industries on a single digital platform.
Through the centralized placement portal, industries will be able to display their employment opportunities and vacancies directly on the portal. Students will be able to prepare their profile and resume and see the employment opportunities available in various companies and apply online as per their eligibility. Job notifications, eligibility criteria, last date of application, company details and other necessary information will be available on the portal.
Separate dashboard facility for industries has been provided in the portal. After registering themselves, companies will be able to create their profile, release information about new jobs, view information about selected students and also filter and download the resumes of eligible students. This will help companies to easily access qualified and trained youth.
Resume builder facility is available on the portal for students. Students will be able to prepare their professional resume by entering information like their educational qualification, personal details, semester and year wise achievements, internship, apprenticeship and professional experience. After this, they will be able to apply as per the eligibility by looking at the various employment opportunities available on the portal.
Placement management facilities have also been made available on the portal for educational institutions and universities. Institutes will be able to issue job notifications, view details of selected students, export student resumes and manage placement related information systematically. Along with this, pre-placement data can also be updated on the portal.
Through the centralized placement portal, better coordination will be established between the technical education institutions, universities, students and industries of the state. This will increase transparency in the placement process and students will get more employment opportunities as per their qualifications and skills.
The aim of the Yogi government is to provide better employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth of the state by making them skilled as per the demands of the industries. Centralized Placement Portal is an important initiative in this direction, which will play an important role in reducing the gap between technical education and employment.
